Fortunately we have a compact car that is only driven back and forth to work so our gas usage is minimal. Yet, we’re paying $3.83/gal locally for our gas, which has gone up nearly a dollar a gallon since the first of the year.
Many in the media are pointing fingers of blame at Big Oil and the Republicans for the Oil Crisis. We need to look back to 1995 and former President Clinton who vetoed drilling in ANWR. Had Clinton not vetoed the ANWR drilling, America would have 1 million barrels of oil per day produced domestically. This would have eliminated much of our dependence on foreign oil supplies and kept gas prices from rising.
Our elected officials inside the beltway need to be held to account for their inaction and lack of forward thinking for America.
