My friend Steve posted this and it got me thinking. We recently returned from five weeks visiting family in India. While there we unfortunately learned that our bank, didn’t service their customers who were traveling in India. So now one of the first things on our list, is changing banks, and asking the hard questions regarding the Bank’s policy on their customers and their travel habits, and will we have access to our accounts and will Bank Credit/Debit cards be accepted while overseas.
As long as you are carrying a balance on your credit cards, the banks can change the terms, including the rates, and unless you can pay the entire balance off or move it to another card, you could be in for a world of hurt, as B of A customers have discovered.
