I ran across this site that included Barak Obama’s speech at Colorado Springs. I had heard that he had suggested the creation of a National Security Force in the speech and I wanted to hear it for myself. I listened to it in it’s entirety and he is an eloquent speaker capable of rousing passion and fervor for his ideas and causes. About 16 min, into the speech is when he hits on that concept and identifies several goals concerning the idea. Also, he addresses the concept of expanding non-profits through government aid and support.
I hope you will take the time to listen to the speech and to return your thoughts on its implications.
On the surface the speech brought the audiance to cheer him , yet if they thought about his words and how they may be implemented and the cost of implementation the cheering may not have been so loud.

Additionally, it sounded like rehtoric that I have read and listened to in the pre-WW2 era in Germany as the Nazis rose to power. i.e. teh early para military henchmen, the laterHitler Youth, etc.
The plan should seem drastic and without precedent and dangerous to all americans.

What a strange thing to say!! Switerland and Costa Rica have armies and they are neutral countries and neither of them have a “civilian national defense”. People who want to fight is will not be swayed with good deeds to leave us alone!!

when you buy a chinese product you are aiding the chinese worker who made it, to trade in his bicycle for a car. That car will be run on the gasoline that was once shipped to the USA. I believe there are 10 Chinese for every American so Chinese demand for oil will make American demand puny by comparison.
American media has done such a great job of selling the American lifestyle internationally that an overwhelming demand has been created for the lifeblood of that lifestyle, oil. The only solution is an alternative fuel that has nothing to do with petroleum.

Thanks for highlighting the 3 NO’s article. I took the liberty of adding your additional thought as a comment to the original on Obama WTF. Hope this is acceptable…(email me if not).

Incidentally…just to take a little issue with your “comment”, today I’ve added an analysis of Obama’s energy policy sourced from StopObama.org.

The policy: stop driving SUV’s, and turn off the air conditioning.

Surely thats a substantive concept?…one strikingly similar to President Carter failed policies of the late 70’s.
