The Democrats, now led by Sen. Obama, declared over a year ago, to “truly declare our energy independence” by July 4, 2007. Now a year later and gasoline prices have risen 85% since that declaration. Sen. Obama and the Democrats continue to find fault with the oil and coal companies, oppose drilling for our own oil here in the US, and are party to the ludicrous failure that is Ethanol.
So this Independence Day, July 4,2008, thank a Democrat for your gas prices and their unwillingness to truly put forth substantive solutions to this crisis.
