Temp job offers Health Care?

In this day and age, what temp., jobs offers health care, and what job seeker is going to make, health care or lack of health care, determine if they take the job or not. Can someone list those industries and specific temporary jobs that offer health care and what the cost is for the employee.

These days is difficult enough to find a full time job, 40 hours a week, with affordable health care, that doesn’t gouge your take home pay.

Earth Hour – Follow up..

What I find interesting from the article in the local paper is that they along with 9news.com, chose to take a story out of Chicago rather than report on local happenings. The Rockymountain News managed to devote four entire paragraphs to the results of this most important world wide event. I’m suspecting that by the middle of the week, Earth Hour will be long forgotten as nothing more than platitudes and an orchestrated media event.

Cities worldwide go dark for Earth Hour: “CHICAGO From the Sydney Opera House to Rome’s Colosseum to the Sears Tower’s famous antennas in Chicago, floodlit icons of civilization went dark Saturday for Earth Hour, a worldwide campaign to highlight the threat of climate change.”

Socialthing!

Thanks to Loic, for the invite to Socialthing.com. It’s easy to set up and within minutes get up and running. The first couple of hours have been without incident. The interface is clean and user friendly. So far, so good, and an overall good first impression and experience.

Another voice of reason, on this “Earth Hour” nonsense. I’m thinking we’ll turn on all the lights in the apartment, turn on the oven, it’s electric, and also cook some dinner on the stove top. Both of the computers will be on, and I’m sure we can find an NCAA tournament game on the HDTV to watch.

Carbon Sense Coalition: 'Earth Hour' Should be Renamed 'Dark Hour': ”

As previously reported by NewsBusters, there’s an international climate change awareness promotion going on today called Earth Hour, and websearch giant Google is not only participating in it, but advocating its goals.

Presenting the other side of this argument is an organization called The Carbon Sense Coalition.

It wants ‘to restore balance and reason to the carbon debate, and to explain and defend the key role of carbon in production of most of our energy for heat, light, and transportation, and all of our food.’
